Winter is finally over! After what feels like endless amounts of cold days, its finally looking like we may have a little bit of sun!
The first of our lovely events was the wedding of Cheryl-Anne and Liam, which took place on Saturday 11th March. They had chosen a beautiful blue theme for their wedding which both the chairs and tables were decorated in. Delicate touches like small wicker hearts hung around the hall which looked absolutely perfect next to the oak panels of the Oak Room. Through into the Garden suite, tables were covered in superhero props which kept the children entertained throughout the wedding breakfast.
Similar to the tables, the cake was also an exciting alternative to the traditional wedding cake. Each tier was a different superhero! I don’t think we’ve ever seen a wedding cake like this before and it definitely got all the guests talking. Last but not least was their amazing sweet table. We see a lot of sweet tables at the Hall, each is a little different and Is presented in a different way. The thing that made this one was great was the amount of sweets that were on it! There was definitely something for everyone and it looked absolutely delicious!
On Friday 17th March, we held the first of our taster evenings for this year. Lots of our lovely couples came to try our delicious food and we hope you all had a great night! We took the opportunity, whilst having lots of our couples in one place, to launch our new prosecco bar! I can safely say, it went down a treat! I think we will be seeing many weddings in the near future with a quirky prosecco bar in the garden suite or terrace.
Saturday 18th March saw the return of weddings as Emma and Pete said their vows in our Oak Room. I just loved every bit of this wedding as it just matched so perfectly with the Hall. They hired in beautiful chiavari chairs which always look so pretty at the Hall. I cannot wait to see pictures of the beautiful bride walking down her breath-taking aisle. They had also placed their present/card table in the oak room which was home to lots of pretty things. Their guest book was one of my favourites as it was just so perfectly personalised.
Mr and Mrs Goodliffe had to chosen to just use half of our huge Garden Suite which gave the wedding a more intimate feel. Each table was decorated with a slate on which stood a vase of gypsophila and lavender. They were possibly one of my favourite centrepieces ever! The colours on the tables just matched the Halls monochromatic colour scheme which I just love! I have to talk about the one element which I think was the highlight for me, the table plan! It was a simple chalk board in a pretty frame which had each table’s guests written on it. The writing was just so perfect and the best thing about it? The groom had done this himself!
Finally, on Sunday 19th March, we held an anniversary lunch for Mr and Mrs Morley. As it was their golden wedding anniversary, they went all out to ensure that their guests enjoyed celebrating their 50 years together! I only hope that all our lovely couples will come back to join us for their wedding anniversaries!
