An Autumn themed weekend

Our first wedding of the week took place on Friday 28th October. Lizzie and Josh married at church before joining us for the rest of their celebrations. From taking your fist step into the Hall, the theme was clear straight away, the harvest festival! The hall was filled with beautiful autumn colours and decorations from leaves to carved pumpkins. The entrance hall has to be my favourite room from this wedding, it was just decorated so perfectly. Under the stairs, guests were greeted by a pumpkin filled with colourful wild flowers. Surrounded by autumn leaves and fairy lights, it gave guests a perfect idea of what was to come in the rest of the Hall. The stairs were dressed with swags of leaves, fairy lights and even music sheets cut into hearts. Through into the Oak Room, the ceiling was also decorated with leaf bunting and the fireplace covered in tiny pumpkins and delicate twinkly lights.

The Garden Suite was just an array of colour which really brought the room to life! The bright oranges were really eye catching but blended perfectly with the neutral colour of the Garden Suite. Each tables centrepiece was a beautifully carved pumpkin which had either a candle or more wild flowers in. These really got me in the mood for carving my pumpkins at home! The fireplace just looked absolutely exquisite, since it isn’t a working fire, Lizzie and Josh had decorated it with orange fairy lights. When switched on it looked just like a real fire, it was amazing! Their cake (which was huge!) was in keeping with the beautiful autumnal theme and was decorated with delicate hand decorated leaves and flowers. I think this wedding has definitely changed my mind about autumn themes, they are just beautiful!

Our second wedding of the week took place at the Hall as Mark and Anita said their vows in our Oak Room on Saturday 29th October. From the entrance, right through into the Garden Suite, the Hall was decorated so elegantly. Every surface was covered in simple candles creating such a romantic atmosphere. The stairs on which the Bride made her decent to the ceremony were swagged with cream fabric and pretty fairy lights which made them look all the more beautiful. The Oak Room was filled with elegantly covered chairs and petals covered our red carpet, really emphasising the aisle.

At each side of the registrars table were beautiful sprays of flowers on high pedestals. The autumn red’s and oranges of the flowers really added a bit of colour to both our Oak Room and Garden Suite. They were just the perfect choice for an October wedding! Anita and Mark had planned everything to match, from their order of service to their menu cards, they were all so elegant and pretty. Their cake which like Friday’s also had autumn coloured flowers and leaves, was also accompanied by a huge tower of cupcakes! These always go down so well at weddings and always look amazing.
